Volvo Group says may sell some of Russian business

ZURICH, Oct 20 (PRIME) -- Truck producer Volvo Group is considering selling some of its Russian business, a spokesperson told PRIME on Thursday.

"We plan to take a responsible approach towards business reduction, and Volvo Group is considering several options, including the sale of some business, but we have not decided on the issue yet," the official said, adding that it was impossible for the company to continue its activities in Russia.

Business daily Vedomosti reported on Wednesday that the Volvo Group, which stopped to produce trucks in Russia at the end of February, was considering selling the business fully or partially.
